Learning How Our Neighborhoods Came To Be

Kyerah Kyles is majoring Community and Regional Development (Policy, Planning, and Social Services) and African American and African Studies. She is a first generation student, peer mentor for incoming African Diaspora students, and has had internships with Dear Athletes and KPMG. A member of the inaugural Quarter at Aggie Square cohort, she is chronicling the experience for future students.

CALPIRG works to get students engaged

Student leaders from the California Student Public Research Interest Group (CALPIRG Students) worked with the Associated Students of UC Davis and UC Riverside  to put together a virtual educational panel for more than 50 attendees from the two schools.

Professor Natalia Deeb-Sossa addresses issues faced by Mexican farmworker mothers by connecting with the community of Knights Landing to advocate for educational rights and establish health clinics in the town.
