This month's Imagining America Study Group will be led by Nicky Agate and Christopher P. Long. Higher education has a values alignment problem. We say we care about public scholarship, diversity, and interdisciplinary research, for example, but our processes of evaluation routinely fail to recognize and reward these very values. This study group will identify the challenges of values misalignment and explore ways values enacted scholarship can transform the academy.
