Call for Proposals

UC Alianza MX announces a call for proposals for Strategic Research Projects on a two-year cycle beginning in summer/fall 2024 and ending in summer/fall 2026. Strategic Research Projects use academic insights to engage non-academic stakeholders on an issue (or issues) of strategic importance to Mexico or its bilateral relationships with California and the United States.

Eligibility

Proposals must be led by a UC principal investigator (PI) and include collaborators from at least one other UC campus and at least one partner institution in Mexico. Alianza MX can assist with identifying collaborators across the UC system as well as at Mexican partner institutions.

Proposal submissions can request up to $200,000 USD in seed funding over a period of up to 24 months. For additional information, please visit the website.
