This workshop is about culturally relevant science communication. It will be centered on teaching how to communicate science to a broader audience, taking into consideration the ethnicity, location, and current issues affecting the target population. This workshop will take place in two parts.

Part 1: Principles, tools and examples | March 11 from 12 - 1 p.m. with Dr. Mónica Feliú-Mójer 
Director of Communications & Science Outreach at Ciencia Puerto Rico, Associate Director of Diversity & Communication Training at iBiology, and Producer at Wonder Collaborative

This workshop will be centered on teaching what culturally relevant science communication is, communicating science to a broader audience, and sharing useful tools and examples for culturally relevant science communication. The workshop will finish with a Q & A session.
