Position Title
Graduate Student Fellow
- Public Scholarship and Engagement
What I Do
As a Research Fellow for Public Scholarship and Engagement, I work on research-related tasks such as literature reviews, data analysis and case studies. I am currently working on two projects: a tool to connect community partners with researchers; and developing a graduate-level course on public scholarship and engagement.
More About Me
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Geography, where I study youth engagement with climate change and youth climate activism. For my dissertation, I have collected a series of oral histories from racially and gender-diverse youth climate activists, chronicling their stories of moving from despair to empowerment. I also have a master's in Community Development from UC Davis. Prior to graduate school, I worked in youth development and environmental education
